Free public education for all is the most cherished freedom that we in America possess. The deep and abiding belief held by all Americans that each person is equal to every other person is the foundation upon which our public school system was developed. The poorest and most handicapped has equal right with the richest and most highly endowed to make the most of his potential abilities.
Recent magazine articles, blaming today's high school curriculums for all human frailties from delinquency to neglect of the gifted, have stirred the interest of thousands of parents. They have been alerted to the need of parent understanding of just what the high school Curriculum offers their children in the way of a well‑rounded education.
We are certain that this, our first book, offers another means of providing the well rounded education parents of this community desire for their children. We feel too, that it is a step forward in Our endeavor to keep the public informed about the local school program.
Congratulations, all, for a job well done! Lee M. Patton, Superintendent
